Calculate Half wave rectifier load current and PIV

  1. Anitte says:

    For a transformer, V1/V2 = N1/N2, hence V2 = 220*1/10 = 22V
    Piv can be taken as Vmax of the AC supply that is 22×1.41 = 31.11V
    Load current = Vrms/RL; Vrms of Half wave rectifier is Vm/2 = 31.11/2 = 15.55V.
    I =15.55/680 = 0.023A
